Position Title:  Development Director

Description

Touched by an Angel, is  a 501c3 nonprofit organization, seeking a volunteer for the role of Development Director to seek and assist with funding, events, and grant proposals.  The position is suitable for a retired executive with experience obtaining funding and resources for programs for Single Parents who are financially disadvantaged, family support services, partnerships and operational support.



Position Title: VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATOR

To provide administrative support to the Office Manager and Managing Director of Touched by an Angel. To gain a good insight into the work of our organization to foster a volunteer program that will keep volunteers engaged. Facilitate a connection with volunteer to volunteer relationships as well as staff to volunteer relationship.

Responsibilities:

Meet and greet clients and volunteers · Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office ·

Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, mailing and filing as it relates to volunteers · Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system of volunteer information · Help update and further develop current systems and files of all volunteers · Coordinate and maintain records concerned with office and human resource management ·Assist with the development of Volunteer program and orientation process

Preferred Skills:

Passion for the development of new programs and team management · Previous experience of an Management role · Possess or working towards a relevant qualification · Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills including an in-depth knowledge of grammar and spelling · Problem-solving capabilities · Strong organizational and time management skills · Computer literacy of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook · Proven research skills · Awareness and commitment to Touched by an Angel’s Code of Conduct · Excellent interpersonal skills · Personable and enthusiastic · Interested in learning and developing new skills · Able to show initiative and work without close supervision · Good attention to detail · Proactive · Resourceful and organized · Sensitive and diplomatic · Strong team player and collaborative working style · Reliable and flexible and willingness to take on a range of tasks

Position Title: Nonprofit Program Assistant Volunteer

Nonprofit Program Asst. works with Touched by an Angel’s staff developing communications and helping to plan and execute events and educational programs.

Responsibilities:

Researching, writing, organizing, arranging facilities and catering, and promoting events to members and to the community  ·  Duties will be approximately 70% project oriented and 30% clerical. Clerical duties include working with organizational database, mailings to members, and general assistance.

Preferred Skills:

Excels at planning, organizing, and prioritizing. This candidate will demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills. Exhibits energy and enthusiasm and an interest in working in the nonprofit sector.

Hours: 20-25 hours per week

Position Title: Administrative Support Volunteer

The position of Administrative Support Volunteer serves as the office lesion for Touched by an Angel, supporting the organization’s mission of redefining the lives of single parents in Bergen and Hudson County.  The Administrative Support Volunteer represents the organization to the public by generating letters, responding to emails and communicating with the Executive director,

Responsibilities:

Responds to emails · Review voice messages and communicate them to Executive director · Makes reminder phone calls to other volunteers who are assigned to projects for the following day · Records donations that come in and enters them in the database · Helps prepare bulk mailings · Prepares correspondence as needed · Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills:

Basic knowledge of computer and data entry. Pleasant manner, patience, problem-solving ability, dependability.

Position Title: Nonprofit Marketing & Social Media Volunteer

The position of Nonprofit Marketing & Social Media Volunteer of Touched by an Angel is to uplift and bring awareness to single parents and others in the community by keeping them informed through social media and other marketing outlets.

Responsibilities:

Volunteer(s) will support the Creative Services Director and the Executive Director  ·  The Volunteer(s) will help Touched By An Angels’ staff with tasks related to social media, website, blog posting and tracking, writing and/or multimedia capturing and posting  · Volunteers will assist Touched by an Angel in one or more of the following areas · Track arts and health activity on social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest); make recommendations for Touched by an Angels’ social media pages under staff general guidance  ·  Implement social media recommendations on Touched by an Angels’ pages ·  Research the viability of increasing social media activity (Instagram, Twitter, Vimeo, etc.). ·  With staff support, create and present immediate and long-term development plans, as appropriate, to achieve and maintain these presences  ·  Create blog posts about topics relating to Healthcare, Education, and Single Parent Support  · Research, benefits for Single parent populations, needs, client stories, implementation, etc. ·   Database work to send marketing materials to constituents.

Preferred Skills:

Desire to support mission of Touched by An Angel, Organizational and time management skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to work independently ·  Database experience, social media experience ·  Good computer, internet research and typing skills ·  Development experience or preference. ·  Excellent proofreading skills ·  Willingness to learn about TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL through attending programs, meeting volunteers, and working with staff.

Position Title: Fundraising and events coordinator Volunteer

The fundraising and events coordinator will assist with fundraising, donor stewardship and event planning activities. The fundraising and events coordinator will directly contribute to increasing TOUCHED BY AN ANGELS’ capacity to assist single parent families by increasing organizational resources.

Responsibilities:

Assist with all donor stewardship, renewal and recognition activities · Lead the planning and management of fundraising events · Coordinate and follow up on stewardship mailings and phone campaigns, as well as donor requests  · Work with the marketing team to prospect and solicit major donors · Identify and approach potential business partners · Help increase communications with supporters ·  Assist with general fundraising activities as needed

Preferred Skills:

Fundraising and/or event planning experience ·  Ability to build strong relationships with new people and organizations  ·  Experience working in an office environment  ·  Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills  ·  Strong interpersonal skills ·  Works well independently and as part of a team  · Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook Database and website maintenance experience is a plus.

Position Title: Webmaster Volunteer

The Webmaster Volunteer will work with the marketing team and IT department in supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the company website, marketing analytics and digital marketing.

Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Maintains functionality, appearance and accuracy of Touched by an Angels public website using content management system  ·  Works In partnership with TOUCHED BY AN Angels’ team, keeps the product/service specifications and additional information up-to-date for public website  ·   Maintains and implements changes and updates to product descriptions, images, and specifications reflecting most current messaging o ·  Maintains content integrity on websites · Works in partnership with TOUCHED BY AN Angels’ team, uses marketing automation tool to create campaign tools such as landing pages, email campaign templates, sales and customer support tools, mobile, display banners and online advertisements · Optimizes website exposure by analyzing search engine patterns to direct online placement of keywords or other content  ·  Recommends and implements continuous improvement, responsiveness and search engine optimization (SEO) ·  Manages tracking and reporting of search-related activities and provide analyses to marketing executives. · Assists in creation and delivery of internal electronic communications such as newsletters and webinars as needed

Position Title: Grant Writer Volunteer

The Grant writer will help develop a diversified network of funding organizations necessary to Touched by an Angel grow and fund ongoing programs that will enable the organization to successfully execute our vision.

Responsibilities:

Prepare grant proposals, beginning by performing research and creating a problem analysis · Become familiar with Touched by an Angels ‘programs, goals and financial needs. Assist with locating potential funding sources ·  After compiling information, compose and send proposals ·Assist with managing volunteers, communicating with an executive board, planning fund-raising campaigns and promoting the organization through public relations.

Preferred Skills:

Excellent communications, English, professional writing or a similar major  ·  Outstanding grammar and research skills  ·  Interest in nonprofit management.
